Thai Red Cross Society and 23 Partner Organizations Sign MOU to Expand the “Phonphai” Application and Enhance National Disaster Management
The Thai Red Cross Society, together with government agencies, private-sector organizations, civil society groups, and independent organizations, continues to advance the development of the “Phonphai” application, a digital platform designed to strengthen disaster management and emergency response efforts in Thailand through integrated data and digital technologies.
This collaboration began with the first Memorandum of Understanding signed on January 8, 2015, involving 10 partner organizations. The partnership expanded to 19 organizations on November 5, 2020. Most recently, on June 23, 2026, the Thai Red Cross Society and 23 partner organizations signed the third MOU to further connect and expand the use of disaster databases and Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies through the Phonphai platform.
Phonphai serves as a centralized disaster management platform that supports situational monitoring, disaster early warning, emergency assistance requests, resource management, and interagency coordination. The platform enables faster, more accurate, and more comprehensive assistance for affected communities during disaster events.
On this occasion, iNFRA Co., Ltd., as a key contributor to the development and enhancement of the Phonphai platform, has supported the advancement of digital infrastructure, geospatial data integration, and GIS-based technologies. These capabilities help improve disaster data management, spatial analysis, and decision-making processes, enabling participating organizations to coordinate and deliver assistance more effectively.
This collaboration represents a significant model for cross-sector data integration and cooperation under the shared objective of reducing data redundancy, minimizing information discrepancies, and improving the accessibility of disaster relief services. By fostering a connected disaster management ecosystem, partner organizations can efficiently exchange and utilize data to strengthen Thailand’s preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities in a sustainable manner.
